    Description

Uncommon English guidebook to the Paris Expo, 1878; the third World's Fair held in Paris, celebrating France's recovery after the end of the Franco-Prussian war. Stated second edition.
Paperback, about 4¾ by 7¼ inches. Badly worn & stained, front cover barely held on by two strips of non-archival tape, some chipping. Text, however, remains clean & reasonably bright; the folding map is present with only a minor tear; laid in is Dr. Loth's Detailed Illustrated Plan of Paris, Scott & Ferguson, Edinburgh, with the locations of the Expo, its nearest train station, and Cook's offices picked out in red. 128 pages, may ads, two folding maps.
