RARE WWII 10th Mountain, 87th Mountain Infantry Regiment unit history photo book

This is a very rare, original WWII 87th Mountain Infantry Regiment pictorial unit history book entitled "This Was Italy." It is a limited first edition, printed after the war ended. It is 1 of only 1,000 copies that were made. This spiral-bound book contains 60 original photos along with printed captions chronicling the experiences of the regiment in Italy during World War II. The photos are actual photos, not printed copies, that are held in place at their corners on the pages. I have never seen a book done in this way before. The 87th Mountain Infantry Regiment was part of the famous 10th Mountain Division that fought heroically at places like Mount Belvedere and the Po Valley in Italy in 1945. Overall, this book is in good, used condition. It shows signs of wear, including some creases and tears at the edge of some pages. Please see pictures to judge the condition of this book.
