Description
Lefton figural grapes jam pot. Made around 1955-1960 in post-WWII Japan. It is slip cast porcelain, finished and painted by hand, so there are often slight irregularities in the finish and painting. This is the jam or jelly pot, 5" x 4" and 5" high with the lid in place. It features molded purple grapes, a leaf handle and attached leaf underplate. The bottom has the original Lefton foil sticker, which reads "Lefton's Reg US Pat Off, Exclusives, Japan". The ceramic spoon may not be original to the set. Every Lefton piece I have seen has a different spoon!
There is a small flake on the point of one leaf and there are several tiny dimples and rough spots, including a rough area on the bottom rim.
Comes from a clean, non-smoking home.
